MR-SIC day 13, Metolza, Magtibay, & Paitan on a tuesday (april 26, 2011)

april 26, 2011... tuesday...
measles rubella supplemental immunization campaign on 3 different barangays...

BARANGAY PAITAN...
NAUJAN WEST, ORIENTAL MINDORO, PHILIPPINES...
...most of the people living here were MANGYANS (natives of MINDORO)... to my surprise, they are the ones most eager to be vaccinated... i love them! = )

i went with the group to barangay magtibay where all of the residents are MANGYANS...

 my heart was touch by the health-seeking behavior of the mangyans... they grab all the opportunities that come to them... when they see doctors or medical missions they immediately avail of the services... especially our measles vaccination... it made me more apathetic to those who refuse vaccination for all the wrong reasons... we should learn from these mangyans... plus the fact that they are very grateful and appreciative of all the things you give to them...
